Ok i was reading the Daggonoth kings monster guide and notice it did not suggest a Blessed spirit shield

i thought this was odd cause its gives more crush def than a dragonfre shield and also it gives a prayer boost,

not ot mention that it gives a beter boost in magic for mages

 

As for a blessed shield while hybing is still good if you use a godsword or Balmung since as a pro dkser i know that hybs last only as

long as how much prayer they have so the boost of the blessed spirit shield makes them last a few kills longer than w/o.

 

just wondering your thoughts, wondering if you could add it in the dks guide

Its not recommended as its got pretty bad range defense stats.

If your using guthans then the prayer bonus helps so its worth using, however with veracs you already have good prayer and magic (defense) stats so range defense is more important.

 

Once you get under a 300 range defense the snips start to get really annoying, as I found out when my crystal shield dropped to 3 charges.

 

FYI the only npc which uses a crush attack in the room is rex and if your hybriding you should never get hit by him (mistakes happen though).

DFS has higher range and magic defense than a BSS. You take the all of your damage from the Synos, so the DFS would be preferable if you're hybriding. However, when maging, I think it's a tossup.

I personally like bringing the Blessed Spirit Shield to dks and it deserves to be mentioned, so I have added to the suggested mage setup in the dks guide.
