99 Crafting/Smithing

Well I'm currently on a goal of 99 Fishing (and possibly 99 Woodcutting - I'm undecided about that) but afterwards I'm looking for a few more 99s to get, and Crafting and Smithing would be two respectable ones that I'd enjoy getting the capes for.

 

Crafting

I have about 3m atm and fishing will get me to about 50m. If I did my Math correctly, making green d'hide bodies to 99 only cost me about 50m (without the needles from SC).

 

1. Did I do the Math right? If not, how much would it cost?

2. About what is the exp/hr making green d'hide bodies (w/o needles)?

3. If this isn't the best method, what is, and what's the cost to 99 and the exp/hr?

 

Smithing

Smithing is the tougher one. I don't really know how much it costs, as the method I looked at cost waaaaay too much for me. So...

 

1. What's the best method (good exp/hr and not a huge loss)?

2. How much would this cost me?

3. What's the exp/hr?

 

 

I can make 20m per week if I try, and over a month I could make 80-100m, but I think I'd find that incredibly boring lol. So please answer my questions, and then I can decide if I should go for it or not.

Ok here is my judgement :P.

 

Crafting!:

1) No, you didnt do the math right and it would cost 360m. Considering that you need to create 68k green d hide bodies from lvl 65 crafting and 68k green d hide bodies would be 68k bodies x the number of hides you need to make 68k = 204k green d hides. And green d hides sell for 1,772 gp each. If that is wrong, then the tip.it skill guide needs to be more clear on the number of dragon hide bodies or what that 68k stands for.

2) You get 186 exp for every green d hide body you make, so I don't know how many you will make in an hour.

3) Idk. lol

 

Smithing :D!:

1) Making cannonballs is a good method if you want to make the most money. But it is slow and tedious.

2) It would cost about 700k to make 4k cannonballs and selling 4k cannonballs is worth 1.3m roughly

3) Honestly stick with making iron bars with forging rings.

air battlestaffs are much better than green d'hide bodies, you can make 2 air bstaffs in the time it takes to make one green d'hide body ignoring banking time

they're cheaper than green d'hide bodies without sc tools as well at 45 mil to 99 for you

 

your calculation was wrong about green dhides btw, it's 80 mil w/o sc needles

 

as for smithing, i'm superheating as i mine concentrated ore and dropping the bars. If you wanna train mining as well, this is the way to go as you can time your spells to not interrupt the mining process

 

please don't make cannonballs. It takes more time to make a steel bar into 4 cannonballs than it takes to fire off a shot from a dark bow...

Lol i was off by a long way with 360m O_O!

 

That means that the crafting skill calculator on this site needs to be more clear because Sports needs either 68k d hide bodies to get 99 crafting or needs 68k green d hides to make green d hide bodies which would amass in having only 22.5k in the end.

KHFanatic you also have to consider that whatever he crafts with the green dragon hides will be sold or alched in the end, which would return a fair amount of money to him. It seems to me like you left that out of your calculations?
