Did you do this Capture -> Hide display on capture?

You have to make sure you crop the screen, Video ->Cropping as it massively reduces the lag. Otherwise it records every little bit of the screen.

I'll test the instructions I posted on an older PC and see if I missed something.

 

PS. If anyone wants I can make a few screenshots and knock up a quick mini guide for this

 

 

EDIT Somethings wrong with one of the setting as this is killing the old PC.

windows 7 is much newer and is a completely different thing than 1 program, show me it says about camtasia doing this and ill believe it, also it didnt break the program, the program itself wasnt broken just 1 feature, so suck out
