I have the Zune HD and the apps made by microsoft suck, is there some place to get other apps for it?

Well, there are apps, technically. But Microsoft has stressed that the Zune HD is a media device first and foremost—there's no SDK, so independent development is out for now, and the Zune team seems to have little interest in competing with Apple's App Store.
