One Too Far
Hello, i've recently started using cannons on certain slayer tasks and i'm wondering if range bonus matters for cannons (not hand cannons, the ones you set up)? I ask this mostly because i've been thinking about cannoning abbarent spectres, and unlike for example kalphites i would need prayer there. I've no problem spending a bit of money, but if i can save a bit on prayer pots by wearing prostilyte (i don't know how to spell that, sorry) I'd love to know. Dax
I personally never use a cannon, but from screenshots and watching other people, I don't think it does. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
Zaaps1
It's proven that using a ranged pot and ranged prayers WILL increase your cannon efficiency, but using range-boosting gear will NOT. ~It's Super Effective! Cptbaker08
Ellebreyals did some tests with it while getting 99 slayer. She posted her result in her blog to getting 99 slayer. Here she showed the little test she did. One Too Far
Thanks for the very quick replys all. A bit conflicting awnsers though, but I know I'll be using range potions. A bit undecided if the 3xp/cannonball is worth not using prossy, will run the maths and check. Thanks so much all. Edit: I thought i'd post my results so that someone else might use them, maybe someone finds it intresting or can tell me something i did wrong .Range bonus seems to be better using the following sources:Tip.it item bonus calculator for the prayer bonus with the range bonus setup and the prayer bonus setuprunehq prayer drain calculator for using the prayer bonus the 2 sets give and getting the drain per minutetip.it potion calculator for prayer restored at level 70 per sipRobinHood's range slaying guide (the section on spectres) for cannonball rates/minuteEllebreyals blog for difference between range bonus xp/cannonbalgrand exchange for price of cannonballs and prayer pots. ( the difference of 5 range levels probably won't hurt much.) I assumed that the numbers from the guides and posts are correct and that the difference between the avarage slayer tasks and spectres wouldn't be too bad. This is all based on 70 prayer and 80 range. The setup used for prayer is prossy legs and torso, ammy of fury, unholy book. Others didn't matter for me because i don't have other prayer boosting gear, for the range setup I would be swapping the prossy legs and torso for black d-hide legs and torso. cb= cannonball, sip=prayer potion sip, m=minute 22xp/cb19xp/cb1k cb/25m1cb=3381pray pot= 12.1k 27 pray bonus1 sip/2.38mfor 25m:1k cb= 338k10.5 sips=31.7kcost/25m=369,7krange xp/25m=19kgp/xp=19,46 13 pray bonus1 sip/1.79mfor 25m:1k cb= 338k14sips=42.2kcost/25m=380krange xp/25m=22kgp/xp=17,3 You also need to consider that with spectres you'll be getting quite decent drops and thus a increase in xp/cb also means a increase in gp gained back/cb
