It's my first Photoshop render in a while that I've done from scratch and without a tutorial of any kind. It's almost identical to a Mac wallpaper I've seen, as my intent was to attempt to recreate the image.

 

Updated: changed the colour scheme completely.

 

Any CC/suggestions for improvements would be much appreciated. :smile:

I like it, you wouldn't happen to have the original to see what you were basing it off of?

 

I threw your picture on as my wallpaper to see what it would look like, because I'm assuming it is meant as a wallpaper and I notice that the area of the picture that I felt was the center focus point was lacking in some dots drawing my attention downwards towards the bottom rather then center of the picture.

 

Okay, I've added a few more dots near the top, and a few more of the large, faint dots around the image as well.

 

This is where I saw the picture; on a YouTube video.

 

 

I know, my version has WAY more dots. :-|

The only thing I would recommend is if you want it to look closer to the one you saw on youtube is to just have a select few of the dots to pop out more. So probably take a layer of dots and try and sharpen them to make them almost perfectly clear and probably add a small white glow to the dots.

Played around with the colours a bit... how do you like this one?

 

But there's distortion where the colours mix. FML.

Any idea how to touch that up?

I like it, I think it just needs to be sharper.
