Shin
So this is my first digipaint, I have no idea what i'm doing. Its so difficult for me to adapt to a digital palette because color selection is much more difficult than in real life. I can tell you, painting in real life is so much easier than this haha. I'm not able to create the hues I wish for, or revolve a color scheme around a single theme. I have to say that's the hardest part for me. It shows because i'm not able to create depth or volume to my darkest darks or lightest lights. I'm dumbfounded really. So major help?
xxxShade
You're colors aren't really that bad. You just need to put more range and contrast on them to make the image look more 3D, eventhough the angle of the face is somewhat flat. Here's just a look at a quick alternative palette that has a wider range of dark and light. I hope this helps. P.S. I found that it helps to have a darker background while working and choosing colors.

obfuscator
I don't mind it, definitely go with that other palette though. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
tripsis
One thing though, get rid of those sketchy lines :x They're ruining your piece. Use them as a guide if you want but make sure they're not there when you're finished. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
