That might be your best bet. Also, if you like the minigame, a stealing creation mage hat will give you double exp (it will last 33.3k exp total).

Ice Bursting Nechryaels in the Choas tunnels can be good.

 

It's decent xp, and they have good drops which often bring you profit.
