Is runescape going down?!?!? i really don't want it to :'( i need some help.. what does this mean:

Jagex is the plaintiff in that case, that means THEY are suing the other company.

If this is real, essentially Impulse is a cheating organization and Jagex is taking legal action. Jagex is the Plantiff, Impulse the defendant, therefore RuneScape isn't going down.

The guys who are part of this "Impulse" group are cheating somehow in the game, and so Jagex is suing them. Basically that whole document is explaining what RuneScape is, since people of the jury will have no idea.

its quite simple. From what I've seen w/o digging too deep, jagex is suing them over copyrights that they feel were stolen by the defendant...probably has something to do with that new video game they were talking about releasing...

From what I understand, Jagex is suing these guys for selling scripts that people can use to bot in Runescape. As has been said already, Jagex is the one suing, so there's no danger of Runescape going down.

It's illegal to make cheats for games you don't own, which is what these guys are doing. Simply breaking one of Jagex's rules isn't nearly enough to get you in trouble with the law.

Only Jagex has the right to make cheats for Runescape, and the same goes for the makers of other games. If someone else writes software that allows people to cheat and sells it to people (which is what the defendants in this case are doing) then that is copyright infringement, which means the makers of the game can sue them.

It is illegal to make cheats for Runescape. Doing so can get you put in jail. It is not illegal to use cheats for Runescape, however it is not a wise decision and will most likely get you banned.
