96-99 def before march 12th?

Im getting my laptop back today so im going to go into some intense defence training until 99. Im going to be doing this through slayer, using Kuradel as a master and praying Piety on all tasks. Is it possible to get these 3 defence lvls (around 3.9m xp i believe) before the 12th of march (dbl xp weekend where i will be training att and Agility).

It really depends on how long you play, if you piety and black mask and superset , you should get 100k xp per hour if you get good task (eg. fire giants)

So you need to find 39 hours to play before 12 march.

i use piety + pure sets

 

Setup:

Slayer Helm

Glory

Torso

V skirt

D boots

Barrows gloves

Obsidian Cape

Whip

Rune Def / Dragon sq shield(only if i absolutley need the extra def)

Wealth/ Slayer ring / Ferocious Ring

 

For Praying melee/range/mage on tasks:

Slayer Helm

Glory

Prossy Top / V brassy

Prossy Leg / V skirt

D Boots

Barrows Gloves

Ardy Cape 3

Wealth / Slayer ring / Ferocious Ring

Whip

Ring Defender / Dragon Sq shield / Fally shield 3(only if pray bonus is ABSOLUTLEY needed)

 

EDIT: Ill be playing between 5-10 hours a day if that makes any big diffrence.

Yea most likely you can get it. Just piety every task you can, and maybe to minimise costs and drain pray 15% prayers on pro-melee tasks like black demons.

 

First setup:

 

If you can get a fury then do so. The extra prayer and str will help a bit.

And maybe replace obby cape with the highest ardy cape you can. SW cape if you have it, or a fire cape.

ALWAYS use rune defender, take a super defence and maybe some more food if you think you need it. Much better than having to switch shields.

Wealth = waste of time, keep it on warrior, but a zerker if you have it maybe even the imbued rings. Kura if in Kura Dungeon

If you really need the extra defence use the verac brassy instead of the torso.

 

Prayer:

 

Fury again

Prosy top and V skirt could be a good blend of defence and prayer.

Rings: see above.

Shield, only use fally shield 3 on stuff like aberrants.

 

 

 

If you really want the exp quickly then piety alot. Make sure that you have an altar next to your garden to minimise time in house, because I'd imagine you'd powerslay and want to be quick with this. You can profit easily pietying and cannoning everything, I already am to my surprise and it's making slayer go hell of alot quicker.

Quite a few tasks you can just full prosy like hellhounds, fire giants etc, if you have trouble use a super def and shove on the X2 HP restore. If you still have trouble then pray melee and 15% str and attack until yip and other prayer heals you then straight back onto piety.

 

Good luck with it :) 99 def is well worth it.

well since i only have 24m at the moment and im trying to save all the money i can fury is out of the question and same goes for the zerker ring, however,

 

I will buy a warrior ring instead to replace the wealth.

 

I choose not to use the cannon because of the current prices and the fact it takes forever to get one on the G.E.

 

I use my EE for specs as it gives 2 advantages over just causing damage so healing isnt too big of a deal.

 

I will probably start switching out the torso with v brassy and stick with rune defender unless i have to have a special shield.

 

Also from 98-99 defence i might use AZ's as opposed to slayer just to make sure i get the lvls in time. Is this the better choice or should i just stick to slayer for the last 1m xp?

Aye I guess that is fair enough. But at the end of the day fury is the best ammy for anything you ever want to do really.

Good with the warrior ring.

It doesn't take forever to get one in the GE really, but if it does for you go and buy one from Nundlion (can never spell his name) it's a couple of 100K more though. However cannoning will rip through many tasks making them take under 30 mins.

Good with the EE and shield.

 

I did AZ's and regretted not getting it through slayer, but I made a tonne of profit and charms. AZ's are amazing exp no doubt about it. So if you feel like doing it then do. You'll only get about 250K slayer exp...... but actually I say "only" that is a hell of alot for this skill. It's up to you. Speed vs skill is your choice. AZ's kick slayer right in the butt for speed.
