Aeriath
Jagex promised a long time ago that they would provide clan support. There is space on the navigation to do so as well. I made this quick mock up of a "Clan List": Basically, you have seperate lists for firends and clans, as it always gets hectic when you are doing an event with your clan and you are trying to speak to a friend on another world. The clan members would appear blue on the minimap, like wilderness capes. It also behaves like that, attacking a clan member is never the first option, walk here is. Private chat has 2 colours to tell as well. Friends are light blue, and clan members are dark blue. also (not shown) you could have a "Clan" only option for private chat, for when you just want to speak to the clan during things such as pking. This idea seems plausible, and the first step to complete clan support. I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts on my idea. Curse you Nomad! PlayBoy89
most people in rs is not in a clan, and a clan list may somewhat provoke a clan boom, nothing wrong with it of course but it might seem one should belong to a clan, rather than a whole clan list option, maybe just a section in your firend's list. somewhat lik aol im. Soulfire21
I actually think that's a great idea. I don't feel that we should take away from the friends list or anything, because that doesn't have enough space as it is. I also think that, should clan members choose, there should be a 3 letter display next to their character name in the upper left hand corner. So if I were in a clan called the Shadow Collective, the upper left hand corner would read: Duke of Doom [s*C] The clan leader would set the abbreviation. Obviously there are some technicalities that need to be worked out. How would one leader, or co-leaders be determined? Because if I add people to my clan, those people are free to add other people to their clan list, etc. It would work, but there still is no discernable clan function. Aeriath
I suppose, people being added to the lists could be dealt with by being made to sign up to the clan forums. The "Clan" option on chat would make sure that only people on your list will turn blue. This means that people who are on someones clan list aren't on most peoples lists, and are therefore attacked, and since they are not on the forums, will be killed anyway :D But I suppose a clan list would make people want to be with a clan, which means more pking, events and clans encourage following the rules. That could have an effect on the overall attitudes of plaers, as they want to be in a clan but cannot be if you misbehave. On the swing side, it could make people more violent towards each other, even if they aren;t scamming. Curse you Nomad!
E_D_G_E_1039
Edit - Never mind, I completely misunderstood that, lol I think its a good idea, but a few parts could use some more detail. :P
mr_o_crocodile
I hopes that this new option isnt just bias for member only. I hates it when the Jagex always updating for paid-members and so few for free-members.

I hates it when the Jagex always updating for paid-members and so few for free-members. And Im sure Jagex hates free players who want to recieve updates, when Jagex would get nothing out of it. I find it funny that free players have the nerve to even ask for updates. I dont mean to take this off topic, but I just felt the need to comment on that. Aeriath
It's alright edge, that's my opinion too. I hopes that this new option isnt just bias for member only. I hates it when the Jagex always updating for paid-members and so few for free-members. That isn't actually real, I made that. Curse you Nomad!
