  1. Do these bones Ecti-fy? Can they be used on a POH altar for 350% Xp?
  2. So I want to go to at least 90 fishing. Should I buy the feathers (infinite stock ) and sit at Shiloh, or should I try to do Monks?
  3. Your kill count remains the same (unless you kill more monsters, then you know, +1 per monster) untill you open the chest. So yes, if you die in the tunnel, your kill count remains. After you open and search the chest, your count is reset.
  4. So, I am a meleer (I have 70 range and 77 magic). I want to train both skills. I have Ava's Accumulator (or whichever one is the stronger one) and around 1.5k rune arrows + mage short bow. What monster should I range with the rune arrows? For mage, I plan to use Fire Wave ... which monster should I fight with mage?
  5. I personally feel that nats are a better route, they are much easier to sell and you can craft more per hour. I believe I read a comparison somewhere, and (even in abyss), nats gave marginally more xp per hour than laws.
  6. EDIT: Double post. *slaps hand* Bad finger...
  7. Should you go through with this assignment, use the anti-dragonbreath shield!. Other than that, I would bring a couple pray pots, some food, and anti-fires, using protect from melee. (Prayer boosting armor a plus, such as Initiate or Proselyte armor). OR you can easily switch your assignment in Burthorpe. Although I think you could do it, the cost outweighs the experience gained.
  8. Varrock east, definately. You could use west as a backup if it's too crowded.
  9. Did you try the 'Search' function? (I tried and came up with no results, so I'm assuming ... but just reminding). This is the place to post completed guides, not request guides. For that, I would use the Help & Advice board.
  10. [sarcasm]Aww, thanks for the encouragement[/sarcasm] At any rate, I'm at around 300 Rune Arrows and 13k coins, not terribly bad. I'm chasing chain, and I'll probably just stay here for a few levels before leaving. I want one, but not if it will take months.
  11. Well, I just recently obtained the bones to peaches spell from the Mage Training arena, which took quite a bit of time and runes. [FYI ... my favorite Mage training game is the Telekinetic mazes] As a reward for my hard work, I bought myself a shiny set of Dragon Legs as well as an Obby Shield. Basically I am writing this blog to keep my sanity as I camp out at the dust devils in the Smokey Well outside of Pollniveach (spelling?). Dragon Chain or bust! Notable Drops 300+ Rune arrows Loop key half Teeth key half (Combined them) Teeth key half Notable Achievements 79 Defence (8/28/07) Wish me luck! Currently online W6, killing Dust Devils EDIT: I hate RUBY drops, because the red color makes my heart skip! EDIT: I also hate red vamb drops, heh!
  12. Regardless, they're against the rules. Any advantages they present to the game are completely overruled by that simple fact. And besides, yeah they gain mass raw materials to sell, creating a cheaper market ... but what about the players who gain the raw materials to sell legitamately? It's sure as heck unfair to them.
  13. Because autoers are not played by players, random events don't really affect them (so what, they may lose an inventory of logs ... they can just go cut em down again!). All that randoms do is hurt actual players, although a few may be okay, Jagex went off the deep end... adding randoms constantly, and most of them are childish and silly. Ah well, can't win them all I suppose.
  14. Why not rant about a lvl 47 getting a Fire Cape just because "it's not supposed to happen"? A lvl 60 killing lvl 228 dragons is (although theoretically possible) not feasible at all. Besides dealing virtually zero damage on them, most lvl 60s don't have the money to blow on the rediculous amounts of prayer pots needed, it's just not practical at all. So that argument is, in essence, useless to your point. That being said, I think things are perfect the way they are. Protection prayers are meant to protect ... makes sense to me that they protect all the way (except in PvP instances, but that's understandable). I suppose they could up the requirements for the prayers, but that would upset a lot of players. And 43 prayer isn't easy to obtain, unless you're being funded from your main (which, to my knowledge, is against Jagex rules).
  15. If you let the market run it's course, prices will stabalize. For instance, prices for the Robin have stabalized at around 5 mill. That's what's happening. And you said it yourself, the change took months, so it's not like people are making money off them quickly (buying for 3.7 and selling for 5).
  16. I think it's great that Jagex is focusing support on Clans, because I think Clans are one dynamic that RuneScape seriously lacks in when compared to other MMORPGs. It helps create a community, and communities are invaluable in MMORPGs such as RuneScape.
  17. Wow, this was an extremely poorly written article. My biggest issue is the whole graphics rant. It's freaking Java - what would you expect? You're paying $5 a month (or nothing!)... do you expect a game that competes with UO or WoW? If so, I must say your expectation are absolutely rediculous. And, might I add, when was the last time you refreshed your memory of all of the rules, sifted through the KB, or read every section of the website. My guess is not recently, if ever. So the in-game updates are to make it more convenient to find information. If you already know stuff, don't talk to to town crier then! Simple as that. I do agree that Miniclip was a really bad idea. If you want blood and gore, in most places you have to be 17+ and I highly doubt Jagex would want to remove their ENTIRE pre-teen AND teen base. I dunno, there's a few good points, but it was a poorly thrown together rant about graphics, animation, and corporate greed.
  18. It may work on the PS3, I haven't personally been able to make mine work, however, I'm sure if I put enough time or thought into it I could make something happen.
  19. The thing of it is is that Jagex should open up to real-world trading because then it would be fair. Even though it is against the rules (currently), people are still doing it. This means that it is not accessible by everyone equally. If Jagex embraces real world trading, and it becomes accessible to many people, then we are equal... because the aim of Jagex seems to be equality. And how is it unfair if people can afford to spend $ for gold? Unless you are a criminal, won the lottery, or had a large inheritance (which I can guarantee you is a minute portion of RS players), then you worked for your $ just as people are working for gp. You're not getting ahead in the game unfairly. You touched on this slightly, but let's rephrase it. Kids have what... some 7-8 hours a day to play RS? More on weekends. That's a lot of GP they can make. Adults must work the 7-8 hours, in addition to running their lives. If they have the money, let them spend it as they please.
  20. I have a F2P mage pure, although I accidentally got him 10 def (which I am fine with). He's around 56 magic right now. I just use him for F2P pking. It's quite fun, I think he's level 32 or something and does well in the wildy. It's just a break from my main is all.
