I have a few questions about plank making:

I'm almost certain I heard you lose money, could anyone give an estimate of xp/hr? (usual, not this crazy xp weekend price...)

Is it fairly fast?

Would I make money chopping my own trees?

Hey I just made 2.5k mahoganys for the weekend, but then i sold them =/.

 

Anyway, at 85 mage, i used a mind bomb to boost, and got around 2.5 invs per bomb. So if you already have 86 I would suppose it would go even faster. Also, the exp rate is very fast, at least over 100k/hr, I didn't keep track, but it was REALLY fast. As for money, i think i made some money during the weekend, got around 3k logs from mtk, paid 215 per astral and 225 per nature. 1050+215*2+225=1705. I dont think mahogany planks are over 300ea if you get them from mtk.

 

But since this was a special period of time, then I think you might lose some money unless you cut logs yourself.

Normally you do not make money. It's 120k/h, perhaps 130k if you're very attentive. I made a dynamic spreadsheet here a while ago with the xp/gp of plankmake and other popular meathods.
