SecretAgent
Well I've been wanting to get herblore up (I have 59 Herby at the moment) but the question that's been getting in my way: What is the most cost effective way to train herblore? 1. I'm buying all the materials.2. Just give me methods where I lose the least amount of money3. Feel free to give me methods from 59-99 since I'll be copy-pasting all the answers into a word document so I won't ever have to ask again.4. Give any advice as long as it has to do with Herblore. Thanks much! <3:
muggiwhplar
clean herbs... it's usually ~100k xp/hour and you'll make a decent profit too.
Sy_Accursed
Prayer pots are pretty much always best profit/least lose. Extreme pots are huge lose as they are unsellable but they r so useful (though you can't amke em yet) Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Any specific herbs? just buy a grimy herb at min., see how much it cost you, clean it, sell it for min, see what the price difference is. right now you can buy ranarrs for min price instantly and then sell back clean for min and profit
SecretAgent
Alright grimy is working swell in terms of cost efficiency but I looked at prayer pots.. if the ranar costs about 11k, and the prayer pot (3) sells for 9.6k... that's spending 1.4k (not counting cost for vial and snapes) for 97xp total. That doesn't sound financially good to me, or is that still relatively good for herblore?

Grimy_Bunyip
when I got 99 herblore, I always told myself to never make prayer potions.the best training method is the one people don't know about. And everybody knows about prayer potions. if you're low on income, energy potions and serum 207's are two good traditional potions at the moment, but once again, i advise not using traditional methodsonce you can make weapon poison++, it's not a bad idea to collect nightshades @ gutannoth and and make weapon poison++, the xp rate is low but they make a profit barbarian potions are decently good so long as you can make sell the mixes.antipoison mixes, prayer mixes, energy mixes, antifire mixes, and ranging mixes all make profit IF you can sell the mixes I personally made ranging mixes to 99 herblore for 100k xp/hour + 1 mil gp/hourcurrently ranging mixes make 100k xp/hour + 700k gp/hour IF you can sell the potions trick is selling the mixes.Wait til merch clans buy up the potions, in order to sell the mixesthat and items should be lent to sell more potions now would be a decent time to buy the potions(2), while prices are crashing. So do those prices include buying the (2) and buying the caviar? Does Caviar even buy? http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1

Does Caviar even buy?I personally bought all the ranging potions(2) and caviar i needed for 80 -> 99 herblore when i trained itAnd subsequently sold all the ranging mixes(2) on GE or by lending my SGS.you just need to be a resourceful merchant. caviar always sellsranging potions(2) usually sell slowly. 1k a day, depending on market conditions.since potions in general are crashing, potions(2) will sell particularly well for now and the following few days as a result, mixes(2) will sell very poorly. once again this method requires you to be up to date on the potion market.you'll have to be prepared for whenever mixes(2) start selling, which probably wont be for weeks or months.
