Is it legal to play for real money with online gambling in the United States? Also, what is the gambling legal age? I see at many casinos it is 21 and yet to play for fun online it is 18. What is up with that?

 

 

 

Thanks, can not wait to get into poker, just trying to keep it legal. Might just have to wait 4 years and cruse to the local casinos.

ive always wondered about this, since the actuall gambling age in the us is 18. you can buy lottery tickets and scratchoffs. the reason you cant go into casinos and such is because of the alcohol servered there. and im pretty sure online gambling is legal, although i dont know if its very trustworthy :? .

You have to be 21 to "actually" gamble in a casino. Although yes you can play online at 18 because there is obviously no alcohol being served at the time :wink:

I think this may of come about because the funds where not taxable. Can anyone clarify where in the leguslature online gambling is prohibited.

That's very strange because as far as I know it's not prohibited. Majority of the major online gambling sites are located in the US. I guess we'll need some more clarification.
