March 18, 201016 yr Looking to choose between the two right now as my next goal, which is currently the quicker 99; Herblore or Smithing? Cheaper? Assume the range was from 70-99. Methods I was going to entertain were [smithing] Steel Plates/Knives -> Addy Plates & [Herblore] Prayer Potions -> (maybe) Sara Brews. I'm open to other suggestions/advice. Thanks!
March 18, 201016 yr Herblore would be faaaaaar more expensive but also faaaaaaaaaaaaaar more useful, and if you go that route making extremes for personal use would be a better way of training than sara brews. March 18, 201016 yr smithing is cheaper by farIt can be faster too, depending on the method. The only things you should consider training smithing with should besmelting/superheating of gold ores with glovesand addy arrows/platebodies with SC hammers I would recommend NOT sticking to a single potionpick what potion you are going to make based on the prices. Picking the potions you will make now, without knowing what prices will be later, is like shooting yourself in the foot saradomin brews and prayer potions are also very common and popular potions to make. Going with the crowd, when it comes to herblore, is also like shooting yourself in the footprayer potions and sara brews currently will set you back about 320-400 mil for 70 -> 99. You'll wanna find something cheaper.
March 18, 201016 yr Smithing is about 200-300m cheaper, using SC hammers. I'm currently trying to get 99 herblore, cleaning herbs and making range mixes.
