Power notification thing is hidden

Sometimes though, it's just the power one hidden but today the network one joined it.

 

I go onto the taskbar properties and in the notification area where it says system icons, Network and Power are grayed out and unclickable. When I click on customize neither of the two are included there.

 

How do I fix this please? It's troublesome 'cause I'm on a laptop.
