My computer is about 2 years old, and i've been recently running into problems with it. Anytime I have too much activity i.e. runescape, other mmorpg's, ect., it overheats and shuts down. This has been getting very aggrivating because I have been getting back into runescape, but with no computer to play it with... :x . Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

To start with, don't have it sitting on carpet or anything that could obstruct it's air vents. Try sitting it on two pencils (one at each end) on a hard flat surface and see if it stops overheating.

I found the following advice :

1)Go to http://www.toshiba.com

2)In the bottom left corner of the screen, you will see Quick Product Links, select it and click on Notebook PC's

3)On the left of the screen, click technical support

4)Click Downloads

5)Enter your information (model can be found on the bottom of your unit) on the top part and click go

6)Click Downloads

7)Under category, find the first item with BIOS on it from the top and download it. Follow on-screen instructions. I suggest not using the floppy, but that doesn't matter.

Many thanks to Pup for my new Siggy :)

I had this problem with my Toshiba laptop a few months ago, and after trying everything the best solution i found was taking a hoover, and getting the fine nozzle out and vaccing the fan space on the left hand side, seemed to clear it for me. If the problem persists carefully remove the back cover and VERY carefully vac the entire fan mechanism, using a cloth to wipe the surfaces clean of dust.
