April 10, 201016 yr heyhey, i've been wanting 95 mage for a while now for fire surge for ice strykes. i just calced out howmuch it will cost me. i calced for 92-94 mage - smoke barrageand 94-95 mage - ice barragethis will take me 35.960.391 coins second calc i made is: 92-94 mage - ice burstand 94-95 mage - ice barragethis will take me: 24.147.651 coins ill be casting @ rock lobs now i have 2 questions.1) which is better timewise?2) i calced in 180 xp per cast for both, is this about right or should i take other numbers?
April 10, 201016 yr Well if you are talking about the monkey skeles, I wouldn't use ice spells, I would just straight up smoke burst. At lobs I would recommend the second option.
April 10, 201016 yr Ice barrage is 270k mage exp per 1k casts with staff of light. Even if you assume that smoke is 20% worse its still 216k mage xp/1k casts. I would use option A but its technically more efficient to use B for most incomes. These rates already include the 1/8 rune saving effect on staff of light.

April 11, 201016 yr Ice burst is about 200xp per cast at rock lobs (9 lob spot) iirc Chuck Norris doesn't ever need a compass; he randomly points somewhere and north goes there in order not to anger him.
