mageoftheage2
so ok im a warrior/mage but this idea came to me&I hope you will help make this an even more spectacular suggestion. fletchers can carve "bola" balls(3 per log)3 required to make)normal to magic)including teak&mahogany)& connect them with rope. can also make metal bolas using cannon balls(this means bronze to rune cannon balls)but you need to connect with 2 ropes due to extra mass. can also make [bleep]ed bolas(wood only)with nails. by their very nature these will bind for 5 secs(wood),10 secs (metal)'cause they heavy)&15 secs([bleep]ed)'cause they stick in) same stats as knives & in case any1 cant guess this is members only. Redizhot
interesting idea, but seems overpowered. 3 per log means that they could be easy to get and amass, whereas smoething like bind costs 2 nature runes, which isn't cheap.
Suzanne_Vega
Metal bolas would be impossible to use, they would have to be made from various woods. Crafting would be much more appropriate a skill for making the weights, not all ranged weapons are made using fletching (knives are smithed). http://home.cogeco.ca/~illuminati/bolas.htm Suzanne Vegatokin rite wurx gud! ancient1
it would be the archers version of bind! In australia people used bolas to wind around ostridge legs so they could finish them off later. From what i remember bolas were made out of lead and wood and rangers having a way to bind would be great but might throw the pking triangle off balance..... We don't have ostriches in Australia, and Aborigines sure as hell didn't use bolas. Bascially, what the OP is suggesting (I hope) is that out of one log, you can make one set of bloas, since they are usually made of two or three wooden or lead spheres, connected by light rope. As for balance, reduce the bind length to 3 seconds. 5 is too much. Hunter360x
it could be just an extra thing for archers to be used like bind or snare cant cause any damage it seems fair since rangers are the only class dat cant hold peple mages have bind snare etc melee have d spear's special which stuns players for 3 secs Thanks to Goldwolflord, megadedhed, willmcdermot, Biabf, jak722, born2die, Mediumwell, xxxShade, Random, speedofsound, edtheripper, and Alduron for the awesome sig
ancient1
i was using ostriges as an example as how rangers could use them to "bind"
