Good Barrows Setup

Ok so i decided i wanna do some barrows for fun and because im bored so i was wondering which of these 2 setups would be best.

 

Setup 1:

Helm of Neitiznot / Verac Helm

Fury ( since everyone kept nagging at me to get it lol)

Verac Brassard / Prossy Plate

Verac Skirt / Prossy Legs

Dragon Boots / Mystic Boots

Barrows Gloves

Defence Cape(t) / Ardy cloak 3

Staff of Light

Spirit Shield

 

Invo:

5 Teleport to House Tabs

4 prayer potion(4)

Super Strength(4)

Super Attack(4)

DDS ( Spec weapon for karils/ahrims)

Magic Ess potion (have 40+ in my bank i need to use up)

rest food

 

Setup 2:

Helm of Neitiznot

Fury

Prossy top

Prossy legs / v skirt

Dragon boots

Barrows gloves

Defence cape(t) / Ardy cloak 3

Black Salamander

1k harralander tar

 

Invo:

5 teleport to house tabs

4 prayer potion(4)

Super Strength(4)

Super attack(4)

DDS(Spec weapon for ahrims/karils)

Magic Ess potion ( have 40+ in my bank from training herblore)

rest food for tunnels and emergancy healing

I would say first setup using neitz and veracs and mystic boots, with the sally and ice blitz or barrage for freeze and sidestep safespotting. Just bring the runes, u only need like 2 casts per brother per chest.

 

Edit: realized u cant blitz so burst works very well also, and u normally get plent of runes. I just carry water runes in my inventory since i have plenty of them.

I think ardy cloak 3 is the better cape than trimmed skill cape since you already have 99 defence. And for that matter, you may want to swap out dragon boots for boots of lightness or a pair of magic-enhancing boots. However, the benefits of any of the three boots are pretty negligible so I don't think it really matters which one you pick. Since you have access to a black salamander, you should definitely take advantage of it. You usually end up paying for the cost of tar and then some with the miscellaneous drops and the occasional barrows drop. Also, I never figured out if any of the magic-boosting potions effected salamander and slayer dart, so let me know what you find out.

well i changed up 2 other styles as well as a test.

 

Setup 3:

Helm of neitiznot

Glory

Prossy Plate

Prossy Legs

Dragon Boots

Barrows Gloves

Ring of Life

SoL

Fally Shield 3

Ardy Cloak 3

 

for setup 4 i just switched the prossy/nezzy helm with guthans and took guth spear and whip.

 

Setup 4 seemed to work better than the other 3 and to top off the good setup i got a V helm and dh legs (v helm on first trip and dh legs on 2nd breaking my 20+ bad chest streak).

 

The Magic Ess pot seemed to affect Slayer Dart alot as i was hitting fairly harder than i normally do with a -29 mage attack.
