Ok so I was looking at some money makers, and this has caught my eye. My stats are in my siggy, and I want to know how I can do this? I would PREFER melee, and if not i have 74 mage but I have never maged (combat only alching and superheating) And I don't know what to bring. I know how to get there (bring that magic pouch thing with me so my food doesn't rot) and the tip.it guide honestly is kind of confusing.

Here is the setup I WOULD be using.

Combat Bracelet

Ring of Wealth

Abyssal Whip

Obsidian shield

Obsidian cape

Torag's platebody

take 4 p pots u pray on dh karil and arim take 3 pure sets tele incase of emergancy and the rest sharks or monks leave 4 spots open for drops this set up wil get u at least 2 chests a trip u can add more p pots and pure sets and less food if u want but u might use quiet a bit on veracs but guthan should be smooth sailing also use a prayer boosting stat on torags because of his good def and either take a darg dagger super p or a godsword for spec dont have EE so dont no whether its worth it or not but its soppoesed to be great also ive never used a familar down there so cant say which one to take

 

 

p.s this all depends on luck there are better ways to make money!

*note* I used Slayer Dart and was easily taking out the Melee brothers which allowed for me to make several runs before banking with this setup.

Proselite Top

Proselite Legs

Dragon Boots

Barrows Gloves

Ardy Cloak 3

Black Salamander

Ring of Life / Explorer Ring 3 / Seers Ring

 

*note* while this setup was the cheaper of the 2 i wasnt able to get as many trips out of it before being forced to bank as i did setup 1.

 

 

Using Setup 1 i was able to get around 5-7 chests before i was forced to bank because of either running out of food or having no inventory space. Setup 2 caused me to bank more but in the rare chance i accidently died i didnt lose as much therefore resulting in less loss on that one rare occasion of lag spike or forgetting to put prayer on.

You can replace with Ardy Cloak with any God Cape or God Cloak since they have a nice little pray bonus. The barrows gloves can be changed out with infinity gloves/mystic gloves or any other RFD gloves you have (should u have any that is)

 

Invo:

4 prayer potions

Whip

Defender / Toktz-Ket-Xil

Guthans spear(should you choose to use the guthans maging method here)

1 Super attack

1 Super Strength

1 Magic Ess pot(i have about 40+ of these to waste so i use them as they seem to help with the damage done by sallys/slayer dart)

Spade

5 teleport to house tabs

Rest Monks/Sharks

 

*Note* Should you choose to switch out the Magic Ess and Guthans Spear you can replace them with food or a special weapon like DDS or EE.

no were in my post did i say u need veracs armour i stated u mighh use up some food fighting veracs

Ok i wouldn't want to use salamanders, but the mage i use is pretty much slayer dart?

The most cost effective is slayer dart and fire bolt with chaos gaunts as their both fairly accurate and deal nice damage fast. On the salamander thing, the main thing about using a salamander has the ability to use all 3 of the attack styles. The Range method is good for Ahrims and the Mage method allows you to pretty much wipe the floor with Torag,Verac,Dharoks, and Guthan's all at a very cheap price xD

You don't want to use slayer dart if you have the ability to wield a black salamander. At your levels you will hit up to 185 with a black salamander and the ammo is only 100 gp each. With slayer dart you can hit in the 170s and the cost per cast is around 350-400, thats 4 times the cost for less damage. The benefit to slayer dart is the shield slot but banking slightly more often and using a faster/cheaper kill method is much better in the long run. A good trick for healing is to bring bones to peaches tabs to top off your health each time you go in the tunnels and refill any new open inventory slots with some food.

actually im easily able to his in the 200-220 mark with slayer dark using the guthans maging method and that has a -65 mage attack (provided i was using a magic ess pot) but still he should be able to his more than that at his mage lvl.
