April 24, 201016 yr Option 2, drop sgs, use claws for spec, get a fury. Placeholder. Don't derail, he wants to do slayer. Edit: Apparently pietying all tasks is good. If you wish to do that, get back to me. If you wish to just use pots: Normal slayer helmet, fury, torso, d legs, b gloves, d boots, fire cape, zerker (I)/warrior (I), whip, defender (dfs if you'd rather lose the offence of claws for more defence bonus; personally I'd use claws. ), claws, invest the rest in pots/pouches/karils/zamorakian spear in that order. Good luck. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
April 24, 201016 yr Option 1 IMO, get an EE for specs and you got the best of both. EE isn't even needen if you can summon bunyips. If it costs you all the money you have, I wouldn't suggest getting an sgs purely for specs on slayer tasks. There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth.
April 24, 201016 yr Author i would also be using the sgs in gwd, boss hunting etc, not jsut slayer visit my website at www.brucepeewee.webs.comvisit my website at www.brucepeewee.webs.com
April 24, 201016 yr Claws are infinitly better for specs anywhere then sgs, with the exception of dks. Still, if you have super prayers... Claws is better then sgs unless you need a Sara item and can't get any other possible one. Claws > Ags > Bgs > Sgs >=< Dds Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
April 24, 201016 yr Proselyte platebody, Verac's skirt, fire cape, berserker ring, whip, defender, slayer helm, fury, dragon boots, barrows gloves, and dragon claws for specs. Spend the rest of the money on prayer potions and super sets. Congratulations, you're now a better slayer. EDIT: Alternatively, do Nomad's Requiem and switch out the fire cape and proselyte plate for a SW cape and Bandos chestplate. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
April 24, 201016 yr Dammit, morning, way to steal my thunder. Use morning's setup if you intend to piety all tasks. Basically switch the torso and d legs outta my setup for a prosyl plate and v skirt. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
April 24, 201016 yr Then you might consider it. However, I saw a post on these forums a while back claiming that whip + def is still better at bosses (at least graardor) than a gs. Except maybe for TD's where high hits count. Anyway, for bosses, you don't really need the SGS. A BGS should be sufficient, if not better, and should save you quite some money. Also, tassets aren't that great, they help but I prefer a V skirt. If I can suggest a third option you could get a proselyte body and skirt, or V skirt for some defence, SW cape and stick with the whip + defender and pray on all your tasks (preferrable Piety, but even +10 or +15% str helps). The cheap armour should leave you with enough money to get pray pots. It can get quite costly, especially with piety, but you do get better xp/hr.
