First time at barrows

Hope the pic works :) So im attempting barrows for the first time. Is my set up and inventry ok? My stats are 78 att and def, 76 str, 79 hp, 75 mage, 70 range and 60 prayer.

So any advice or tips and tricks would be great. Im going to try maging first then try salamanders.

Maybe add some teleport tablets?

And you are you going to do karil?

Just simply mage him, or gona try melee?

If you melee him might aswell be worth to add a combat pot.

Actually, that looks about right, lol.

 

However, I'd bring a whip or some sort of melee weapon for when you're in the tunnels. Save some runes and some time.

I don't think you'd need so many monkfish, but since it is your first time, just experiment with it.

Don't forget a 1 click teleport just in case things go wrong, or if you already looted the chest.

And, if you are planning on doing more than one run in 1 trip, replace some monkfish with some prayer potions and maybe add a holy wrench in there.

 

Here's the order I kill them in: Dharok > Karil > Ahrim > Verac > Guthan > Torag.

I find that order helps me save some doses of prayer potion, but you can experiment with it.

I would like to add that either do the quest "In aid of Myreque" if you haven't done that already or make a kharyll portal in your house(requires 50 construction) so it would be easier to bank.

Are you sure you want to risk sol? It doesn't keep.

Same with ring. I'd say use rol.

Mage's book is better replaced with a shield, preferably BSS or even granite.

Take a melee weapon unless you like whacking stuff with sol. (It's better than a dlong, so not that bad.)

Housetab. Cystal. Something to get you out fast.

Don't take more than 500 casts on that kind of inventory.

BSS will be better then that book, you really will not be needing any mage bonus to kill those brothers. Their magic defense is abysmal.

 

I would also bring a DDS to spec out Karil.

 

Edit: I looked over once more, I know it will distract from barrowing but when you get a break you should upgrade to at least dragon gloves, the Recipe for Disaster quests isn't that hard, they are definitely worth the effort and the higher level gloves give more bang for your buck then a lot of the equipment your using, Verac's helm for example.

Also i would like to say Guthans (IMHO of course) is more efficient than veracs is as the Healing ability makes a huge diffrence to food usage in the tunnels and on the brothers you melee.
