April 30, 201016 yr Author A Canon 350d, second hand. The last the quality isn't as great as it's been croppped.
May 1, 201016 yr I like the second best, I think with a bit of post processing it would look good. Decent composition, an interesting subject and alright lighting on all of them. Number one, the composition is the most visually pleasing out of the lot. The line, texture and pattern in it makes for a great photo. I would of suggested using a lower f/stop, to blur the background more and keep the focus on the duck. Original: My edit: Also, if you can - get your hands on a 50mm f/1.8. And keep your photo quality at the best. I can see jpeg artifacts.
May 1, 201016 yr Author Yeah my zoom lens is pretty ave, it was at it's lowest f/stop lol. I have processed them a bit, not really a big B&W fan, though that deosn't look too bad. And I haven't shot in RAW yet cos I'm a bit lazy and CBF sorting through both RAW ad JPEG's. One day...
May 3, 201016 yr I'll have the same zoom lens as you (18-55mm) and I do think it is worthwhile upgrading to that prime.
May 4, 201016 yr Author Nah, mean my other one. I have a 4.5 - 5.6 55-200mm. So it was like at 100m and the F/stop was 5.0...
