Rendering Video in Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9.0

I think this is the right topic to post this in, if not could a mod please move it.

 

I am making a PK video in sony vegas movie studio 9.0 and when I render it then watch the finished video, the quality is a lot worse than the original clips and the preview video in the program its self. I was wondering if there was some settings I should change in sony vegas and if saving it in a certain format would improve quality? I also wan't to upload it to YouTube, so is there any format/settings I should use in particular for this?

These are the settings I use when using Sony Vegas and I get the 720p HD option. The file size is low, but the quality is great.

Make sure your video project settings are similar to what you want your rendered version is otherwise crappy.

 

 

Video Format: WMV

Rendering quality: best

 

audio:

CBR

Windows Media Audio 9

192 48 stero a/v CBR

 

Video:

Mode:CBR

Format: Windows Media Video 9

Image size: 1280x720

pixel aspect ratio: 1.000 squre

 

fps: 29.970 NTSC

seconds per keyframe 5

smoothness 95

 

Bitrate:

Internet/LAN 1.5m

To get the 1080p option, change the image size from 1280x720 to 1920x1080.
