May 8, 201016 yr I'm currently 50k xp from 93 smithing. I am getting 99 smithing one way or the other. The question is whether I should superheat gold or simply smelt gold to get 99. Using goldsmith gauntlets of course. Normal smelting would cost me about 21m for 99 and will take about 110 hours.Superheating would cost me about 31m for 99 smithing and 94 mage(from 81) and will take about 60 hours using 1800 casts/hour. Is the extra 10m cost worth the 5.7m mage xp and the time reduction? 66,275th to 99 Cooking 73,802nd to 99 Fletching 8,839th to 99 Smithing 71,320th to 99 Magic
May 8, 201016 yr you can superheat while smelting without interrupting the smelting. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
May 8, 201016 yr Author I'm not going to superheat while smelting, I want the magic xp, specifically because it will get me 94. Thanks anyway, I'll be superheating. 66,275th to 99 Cooking 73,802nd to 99 Fletching 8,839th to 99 Smithing 71,320th to 99 Magic
May 8, 201016 yr Assuming you could make AT LEAST 200k an hour in the 50 hours saved, you break even and get magic experience. Superheat all the way man :) Member of: CollisionLeader of: The MoriquendiFormer Legionnaire of: Legends Never DieCheck out my Tip.It Profile and leave a comment!!
May 8, 201016 yr You basically solved it yourself already. You're telling us you save 50 hours, gain 5m+ mage xp, and it will only cost you 10m. That says enough. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
May 8, 201016 yr You can kinda afk while normal smelting, that's really the only reason someone might not superheat. If you'd really save 50 hours, and couldn't make 10m in those 50 hours... Not to mention the mage xp you'll be getting.
