I'm racing a friend of mine to 75 Mining. His mining level is 67, im 66 so its close to fair fight. Im using a Dragon Pickaxe to utilize speed but the question is what's a good way to work on it other then Granite, even if there's a coal deposit close to a bank and it takes a bit extra time I'm interested as making profit is something I "hope" to make from it.

You can Iron Kyatt Mine (Summon Spirit Kyatt, teleport to Piscatoris, run to the iron mines very near, mine full inventory, tele to CW, repeat, or you can just mine iron and drop it without the kyatt) or use the Ardy Iron Mine (use the ardy cape to tele to the monestary, run a bit north, mine, tele to CW and repeat, or again, just mine and drop). I prefer banking, but it's whatever floats your boat. Those are what I'd do.
