99 Herblore help.

At what level should I start making extremes? I'd like to know how many of each aswell because

I plan on doing overloads 96-99 and I need enough extremes for those levels. , if someone can answer this that would be great.

Not gonna do all the calcs for you, but I would just do super energies to 83, then spec restores to 86 or something (they are quite useful actually). Also make like 1k antifires while you are at it (personal use again, useful). Then start making overload supplies. You want to make roughly 3.6-4k overloads. You might also wanna make 1k super prayer pots, but the grinding of bones is very slow...

 

This way, you will end up with a lifetime supply of most pots (more or less). You will pay more than someoen making super energies, extreme magic potions, but at least you get useful pots back + making overloads is very fast xp.

I dont know how far you are from 99 RC but definatley put 7.5M in coffers and 10 on herbs and 5 on whatever you want. This will net you around 30 useful herbs a day and around 100k cash from other items which will add up while your rcing.

 

I also suggest farming toadflax and making brews with them i can do 4 runs a day without really trying and get 100 or so herbs. Will also give you a nice break from Rcing imo.

 

The time it takes to get 99 RC from say 80 at 4 hours a day will still net you around 24k Herb XP per day.

 

Around 100 days till 99 and you could have 10m cash 2.4m Herb xp and 500k Farm xp.

 

That would save you around 50-60m.

 

I know its not really the logistics of getting to 99 herblore itself but it helps you on the way, ive been doing this since 85 herblore and am approaching 90 now - but i also spend profits from slaying on cadantines :)

It sounds good on paper but im not going to say its easy, getting the motivation to move from what your doing gear up invo up and run around the farm patches can be incredible terious. I have 99 farm and gained 1.3M xp just from toadflax and im telling you now its hard work lol, even for someone who loves farming :blink: But definatley worth it. :thumbup:

Farming toadflax and making brews seems a stupid idea to me. Brews are expensive xp, and not even that fast. If anything, farm the herbs that makes the most, and use it to buy other herbs you need. I would personally farm torstol. It's normally quite good money (allthough seeds have risen alot, so not sure) and you will need torstols anyway.

for doing herblore, or anything really, i'd farm herbs for profit, not for herbs. depending on level, snapdragon or torstol are the best profit (and also depending on how torstol seeds /herbs are in phase with their merchanting fluctuations). A herb run in this way is easily 150k, usually more.

 

I personally choose to let my MTK finance its own herbing: if you have 100% herbs, 50% willows the nests / seeds low lvl herbs pay for herbing with all the good herbs, and doing whatever you like with the ranarr :D dunno if that's the "best" thing to do though, it's just easy

The answer you are asking for is just basic math that anyone can do. I'm not doing that for you .

 

I happened to have done it too, so i can tell you you need around 3.6k overloads for 95-99 (use greenman's for 95-96 boost). I'm pretty sure you can work out the rest yourself.
