The age old argument

Hello. My prayer level is 80. My herblore level is 73.

 

If my calculations are right, I could have extreme attack/strength for 40-50m if I do serum 207 then Super antifires and Spec Restores.

 

That cash would not even get me to 92 prayer.

 

Should I keep saving for eventual ss and turmoil, or should I invest in extremes?

 

I like boss hunting but I mostly slay because the teams are too competitive for me.

 

I know this has been talked about over and over again but can I have some opinions?

I posted this question on zybez a few days ago, and everyone said that having 95 prayer is better then having extremes/overloads.

 

I'd say get the extremes though, seeing as you don't have enough to get 95 prayer.

I would say, weigh the ups and downs yourself. Each of the following may or may not matter to you.

 

1. Getting to extremes is easier and cheaper than getting to turmoil, if you're willing to stew.

2. Using turmoil is easier than using extremes, especially since you may spend hours stewing for extremes.

3. Extremes come with spec rest and super antifire.

4. Extremes will eventually get you to extreme ranging and then overloads.

5. Turmoil comes with soul split.

6. To get the most out of turmoil in camping lesser monsters, you need to use ppots.

 

Personally, I did prayer first. I actually wish I did herb instead because super antifires are quite convenient.

See, originally I was set on prayer, becuase turmoil comes with soul split. But I am realizing that I would need to break my bank to get level 95. I think it would be much easier to get extremes, then use them to make the money for turmoil.

 

For god wars, are extremes or turmoil more in demand?

Having both, I recommend getting 85 herb first. Turmoil is very nice but more expensive. Herblore comes with spec restores and super antis, as well as stewing to extremes.
