Ape Atoll agility course lap bonus

It turns out that there really has been a lap bonus on the Ape Atoll agility course. If you use the short cut that became available with the Fairy Tale III quest, you get 100xp for climbing down the vine from the tropical tree the first time you do it. Thereafter, you get the 300xp we've all been used to. That would make the obstacle worth 100xp and the lap bonus worth 200xp wouldn't it? I could be wrong, but that was how I was interpreting it.

so your saying that if you use the fairy ring to get there, you get less xp from the final vine climb then if you did the entire course?

Here's the example of what happens for me.

 

I tele out after I make that final vine climb and get the 300xp for completing that, as usual. The next time I go back to the course, I use the fairy ring and climb trhough the log so that I am "starting" the lap in the middle. I jump across the water and then go down the vine. This time I get 100xp for going down the vine. I go around again, this time starting from the beginning, and when I go down the vine this second time I get 300xp again. Every other time I go down the vine I get 300xp until I stop, tele out after the vine climb and start again by entering the course via the fairy ring.

 

I hope this is a little clearer. Maybe someone could double check what I'm saying? I've tried it a couple times and feel pretty confident that what I'm saying is right, but it wouldn't be the first time I got something wrong.
