STOP SETTING THE WIDTH OF PAGES

Featured Replies

A few of the new pages that have been made have set widths. This doesn't make sense to me, making a page of random width means anybody can view it no matter how wide or thin they choose to view the page, and it takes longer (usually) to make. I believe that you/they should go back to only using random thickness pages which allows me to have tip.it up aswell as my runescape page all at the same time without having to constantly scroll sideways to read.

SO STOP OVER PRODUCING. or not... you know just a suggestion.

what on earth made you think to set it on fire?

i... um, guess... because it was there

Hi jaffarulz,

Can you provide some examples of pages with big widths? This would help us fix any problems it may have.

The reason you would have to scroll horizontal on some pages is not because the widths are specifically set that way, it's because tables or images are bigger than the size of your browser.

Thanks :D

Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here!

I can think of the Dungeoneering Page as one example, and virtually every map page just because most maps are fairly wide.

At a certain point though, (not sure of the exact measurements, maybe 640x480), the website will no longer allow you to size it any smaller, though at that resolution the site is fairly unusable anyways.

Regardless, I need specific examples otherwise I won't be able to fix this issue.

Thanks
