Suliman101
Its ignorance like that thats the real problem^^ if a client gives no unfair advantage to you, then it is not reccomended. It is not illegal.
Bubsa
If the client has been modified from the official client in anyway, it becomes against the rules. If you think changing the window layout is modifying, that's your disgression. Personally, I'd just stick with the original. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. cadburys_egg
About 3 days ago I wouldve said "dont even think about using SS" but now ive used it, even for a day, I find the things it lets me do just so much of a help. Its hardly an unfair advantage to just have an extra chat at the bottom or have a quick reference highscores. All the things it has can be accessed all the same if I opened up a few more windows or use firefoxes tabs. SS does not let you do any AFK training or macroing, it is merely an alternative to the official client.
Tetsuya
Yes, its legal. As long as it doesn't alter the game itself. A couple legal ones are Runescape Xplorer and Swift Switch.
Bubsa
Egg has a point, but with the way Jagex has been banning people left, right and centre recently, is it worth taking the risk? This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
jafnn
modified versions of the RuneScape client. Reverse engineering the RuneScape client is strictly prohibited. Using a modified version of the RuneScape client is not permitted. This rule can be found under: Get the awnser to a question > Macros > Can you clarify rule 7 of the Rules of conduct? On Runescape.com And why would you go through the risk of getting banned if it doesn't do anything the official client doesn't do? f2p skilltotal 1050+

It is not illegal. tell me, why am i ignorant? he asked a question, and i answered. i dont see that being ignorant. like jafnn quoted: Reverse engineering the RuneScape client is strictly prohibited. Using a modified version of the RuneScape client is not permitted. that would surely apply to swift switch and any other program.
