ExitReality
I looks at Andy's guide in the AoW, it just seemed a bit out of date. Anyways finishing my 99 Summoning for 138 Combat, just wondering what the current charm rates at Rock Lobsters are. I have access to most gear, SoL, Arcane Stream, Extreme Magic/Wolpertinger, just about everything. Also I've heard stuff about Battle Robes, I know nothing at all about them except you get them from FoG, are they worth buying, are they hard to get? Just trying to figure out if barraging is worth it over chaos tunnel waterfiends where I can get 150-200 crimsons an hour, over 200 sometimes if I blow some slayer points to get them as task. schmuall
All I can tell you about battle robes is that they have a similar effect to the SOL with rune saving and they stack with the SOL . IIRC it's a 50% reduction with both effects. They're very very hard to buy from GE (took me 2 weeks of camping to get the full set) or you can buy for around 20m street. Be aware that you can only buy the uncharged version and to charge them you need to get 250? FOG tokens. They degrade in a similar way to barrows. Can't comment on your other questions (sorry) but I hope this helps a little. give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever
Pilipod
also dont forget to use your familiarisation X3 charms on the chaos tunnel waterfirends, this can net you alot of charms in 40mins http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=familiarisation.htm

Killing Waterfiends in the CT surpasses charm rates of that in Waterbirth Dungeon if you have at least 95 summoning - or maybe even 92 with a wolpertinger (using the scrolls for a huge magic defence boost) Schmuall pretty much covered the battle robes portion of the question - except the street price of Battle Robes at the moment are at around 28M total. They are worth buying if you have the patience and/or cash to get them - combined with the Staff of Light they save 50% of all casts - a substantial amount. It's worth barraging if you're under 99 mage, otherwise if you're already maxed at that then you might as well go full speed and get the charms at Waterfiends. Personally, I found that maging rock lobsters are a bit more relaxing than CT waterfiends, you definitely pay less attention there than at the Chaos Tunnels. Hope this helps  99 Hits, Attack, Strength, Defence, Mage, Summoning, Slayer, Ranged, 96/99 Prayer
Zaaps1
Don't use Extreme Mage/Wolpertinger. Extreme Mage will eat up your inventory space. Wolpertinger will attack the rock lobsters and may mess up your lures. Also, CTS Waterfiends DO NOT surpass rock lobsters in terms of charms. Yes, they may net more crimsons per hour, but they net less crimsons of xp per hour. Eg. if you counted every drop, rock lobsters give more sum xp/hr. Don't forget about the much higher hp xp and the magic xp, which is worth more than the strength xp you get at CTSWFS. ~It's Super Effective! Adding onto this - Wolpertinger would definitely be useful even with the extra attention to not mess up lures however the boost only applies to one lobster, which really is a disappointment. 99 Hits, Attack, Strength, Defence, Mage, Summoning, Slayer, Ranged, 96/99 Prayer

Consider than 1 hr of hp xp at rock lobs (60k) will about equal to .75 hr of str xp (~70k, whereas there are many 100k+ methods). Then remember you get 1 hour of magic xp (110k). Worth it? For 500k/hr cost (at least last time I checked) to have ~250% of your time, yes, it's worth it. And that's only for the standard player! The OP has 99 strength (99 all melees, for that matter), thus the strength xp at WFS is worthless. That means he would be paying 500k to save 330% of his time. ~It's Super Effective! SirIzenhime
meh, I still like waterfiends more  (what's the OP's magic level?) Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
ExitReality
meh, I still like waterfiends more  (what's the OP's magic level?) I'm 99, maxed combat except 95 Summoning. So yes the exp portion is pretty worthless to me. The money isn't really a factor to me, so I guess I'm going to be Barraging. Time to go pay dreaded World 2 a visit to try to get Battle Robes. Few questions... I just like to over plan everything :P How long do Battle Robes last, and how many tokens do they take to recharge? What are the current rate of charms, like I said I have or can get any gear. I saw someone mention that magic damage bonus only affects one lobster, so should I take Arcane Stream (I already have one) or a Fury? When you say SoL + Battle Robes saves 50% of runes, does it save -a- rune 50% of the time, or does it actually save 50% of all runes. It's ~560 Barrages an hour, correct? And lastly what should my inventory be, or is the one in the AoW still current.
