skylor12344
So, coming off the 99 magic vs. 99 range topic, i decided to go for 99 range over mage. I was looking for some suggestions for how to train my range. *note* please dont suggest Aviansies because i done too many of them getting to 81 lol. Also if u suggest slayer please list which tasks are rangeable and which arent. Please keep in mind i only have 20m tops to spend on gear atm. EDIT: Also i have the crystal bows recharge price to 180k though im not sure if its worth using for general training.Current Setup:Helm of NeitiznotAmulet of GloryBlack D'hide TopBlack D'hide LegsSnakeskin bootsBarrows GlovesAccumulatorRune c'bowUnholy Book / Spirit ShieldBroad Bolts

Zaaps1
Do chinchompas. You won't need to spend anything on new gear, and it's the quickest option. You might not be able to buy it all in one go with 20m, but by the time you use up your chins, you should have money to buy more if you do dailies/farming/etc. Without merchanting, my cashpile grows about 6-9m per week just off dailies and farming. Keep that in mind. Also, there's nothing wrong with taking a break and making more money. MAybe do some range slayer when you are out of chins, of rangeing boss monsters? ~It's Super Effective! I know its super fast exp, and i know more or less what to do. When i go to do it, i will look at a guide. I suggest you do the same :)
Zaaps1
Bedman's guide is good. Basically if you use any setup, it'll work. It's extreme straightforward. Oh, and use greys, not reds. ~It's Super Effective! skylor12344
i think i might get 90 through slayer then 99 through chins is this a good or bad idea?
Zaaps1
i think i might get 90 through slayer then 99 through chins is this a good or bad idea? Sounds good to me. Although remember, there are slayer tasks you can chin (nechs), and try to cannon all the time (kalphites, scarabites, fire giants, etc). ~It's Super Effective! skylor12344
Should i trade in my glory for the range boost of the range ammy or just keep my glory?

Zaaps1
Use zammy book if you can get it. And for ring, if archer's isn't too expensive, or if you have access to MA Rings. Otherwise, RoW, RoL, or Duelling Ring. ~It's Super Effective! skylor12344
i bought the archers ring to go in my ring slot. One final question, would it be worth it to sacrafice the melee def of blk d'hide for the higher range bonus and mage def of karils?
Zaaps1
I'd buy both. Use karils when you need karils, use black dhide otherwise. Karils is really only if you're fighting something with a magic attack. In all other cases, you should use black dhide. If I was to choose, however, I would not buy karils for range slaying. I'd rather buy a few more cannonballs. ~It's Super Effective!
