sunbladedrgn
Towards the beginning of the walk-through, you are required to obtain 1 set of Mourner's clothes (or 2 sets if you don't still have yours). In the walk-through, it says that you do NOT need to clean and repair the outfit. Having just done this quest however, it appears that you DO need to clean and repair the outfit. Not sure if this is something Jagex changed recently...or if it was a typo in the walk-through. Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots or anything showing that you need to clean/repair the clothes. If anyone is in the process of doing this quest and can get some kind of proof, that'd be great. :) Also, don't know if you want to mention it in the walk-through. The gnome in the Mourner's base, will be upset with you if you don't speak to the Head Mourner BEFORE the end of the quest. Once you finish the quest, you CANNOT go back and try to get the gnomes freedom, it MUST be done before the end of the quest. Perhaps something in there to have you speak to the Head Mourner immediately after making the promise.

Jaffy1
Sorry for the delay, but there we go; Towards the beginning of the walk-through, you are required to obtain 1 set of Mourner's clothes (or 2 sets if you don't still have yours). I've just completed this part of the quest (having killed a mourner at the HQ in Ardougne as I still had the robes from Mourning's End Quests) and could just hand them over to Arianwyn, there was no mention of having to repair anything I'm afraid. Were you by any chance specifically referring to mourner's clothes taken from the level 11 mourners at the mountain pass? Were you by any chance specifically referring to mourner's clothes taken from the level 11 mourners at the mountain pass? Hmm...that may be it. I killed a mourner on the pass (which the guide says), not in the HQ. That must be the difference. Do the HQ mourners drop clothes that are in good condition? whereas the mountain pass mourners drop bloodied clothes? It was driving me crazy when I was doing the quest because I kept trying to give the clothes to Arianwyn and nothing would happen.

I'm getting conflicting answers though.Perhaps one only has to repair the sets only if they had gotten rid of the set they had from Mourning's Ends Part 1? I still had the set from MEP1, it was in my costume room at the time, I just hadn't gotten it yet. I wish one of my other characters was anywhere NEAR able to do Within The Light...then I'd just check it out and get a screenshot :( oh well. chad isin
Hey, just read the back and forth. Do you guys still need this investigated(I see it is 2010)? If so, am I right in thinking you want someone to have a set of clothes in their invent or wearing it, go kill the lvl 11 mourner and see if I need to clean and repair? As much as I do not want to have a vial of super-concentrated toxic liquid thrown on me, I will take one for the team.
