On the hunter skill guide page it says the mud baths give a +8 bonus to hunter however it is only a +7.

perhaps they reworked it and its a new thing?

I went ahead test this out myself, and my Hunter stat was boosted by +8 from the mud bath as it is said in the guide. However, I suspect the boost might actually be level-based. What was your Hunter level when you tried out the boost? :)

i did it and i was level 55 it boosted mine to 62 the related quest guide also states a +7 boost

One of our staff members got a 9+ boost at 83 Hunter — this most likely means that this is, as a matter of fact, level-based! Thanks a lot for bringing this to our attention!

If other users could test this out too and post their results here, it would be greatly appreciated. :) The data we need is:

• your Hunter level before jumping into the Mud Pool
  
• your Hunter level after jumping into the Mud Pool

At level 92 Hunter, I receive a +9 boost. My guess is the boost ranges from +7 (maybe 6) to +9 max boost. If anyone has data, please don't hesitate to post it here.

@ 65 I get a bonus of +8
