It was stated in the tips & tricks section that Farseer helm counts as an evil item. Annoyingly though, it does not. <_<

You need 4 "evil" items.

 

The quest guide tells you to bring 3 plus silverlight which you dye to darklight to count as an evil item.

If you didn't continue past that point in the Quest yet, could you please retry entering while wielding your dyed Silverlight? :)

 

I wielded the dyed silverlight and it didn't let me pass. Although when I banked and brought along black d'hide vambraces I could pass through while wearing those other pieces.
