Back after 2-3 years?

Hello guys,

 

I haven't been playing this game for about 2-3 years now, but due to a slow summer holiday I want to pick it back up, but ALOT has changed when I logged in, I could really use your help!

First of all, its gigantic! Full screen runescape..oh men.

Anyway, my real account was member before I quit and seeing I didnt properly left it, there is no other way but to go back to member with that account (or drop dragon items, no way!). I tried out some stuff on a new f2p account (dungeoneering and some new features like help in game etc).

But now for member...Where to start? What to do? Where to look? How to begin again?

Im thinking about starting with Slayer, a nice way to get back into the game I think, but ANY tips are greatly appreciated. :ohnoes:

It really has come a long way since RS classic :thumbsup: (Now I feel old...)

Slayer is good, but also try starting some quest lines.

 

Plague line, the pirate line, the myreque line and all really good quests and are a lot of fun! Plus, this will give you incentive to train some or your lower skills if you don't meet the requirements. After that you might find some skill you enjoy and train it more!

 

Just explore the game, start out with being a newb again, and have fun!

When in doubt, quests. Do all the quests.

 

Also, farm herbs and manage your kingdom regularly. Fast, easy money.

Quests are a brilliant idea, I even saw that F2P has 3 new (for me their new at least) quests.

I also read more about summoning and farming (never picked it up, and I seem to have millions of seeds). So theirs enough to do for $5,95.

Yeah! Everything has been increased by a factor of 10. HP is now Constitution, and your actual "HP" is now "LP" (Life Points). I believe they instituted it so lower levels would not see a 0 every 9/10 hits. Instead they hit a 1, 8, 4, 0, 12, etc. Which before would have been .1, .8, .4, having been rounded down to 0. So in fact, you do a little more damage over time now.
