Slayer Challenge - Jad

On the slayer skill guide under challenges, the guide says you can die before wave 31 and still have enough monsters left on your task to give it another run. However, I personally failed on that task on jad himself and checked my monsters left, and it was 9 more. On top of this, I got the task again, got to wave 5, then realized I forgot some items, so I left the cave and went back in. On wave 60 I completed my task, and did not get the bonus for killing jad. There are only about 8 extra monsters, if you leave any time after wave 5 you will not be able to get the bonus for killing jad.

Is it possible that you had done an additional run in there? I've read that there are 192 monsters in the caves and the guide I saw said wave 34, not 31.

 

I counted 104 monsters after that wave, but I am terrible at math. Before that must be 88 monsters. 192 plus 88 is 280...but that's assuming you don't kill any of his adds that spawn, I would assume.

The guide is incorrect. I'll fix it. Someone seems to have forgotten all of the level 22s that spawn after killing the 45s. They're people too! (or monsters). If I remember correctly, there are either 272 or 276 monsters in the caves. I'll get a better count now, then update the guide. Thank you for the submission.
