how do I contact jagex about faulty payment

Featured Replies

I took a break because I am moving over the next week. Last week I let the members expire. I logged into check f2p a couple of days ago, after having to recover my password through e-mail. Found out I had members, thought it was no big deal because maybe I forgot to cancel my withdrawal. Found out my name is changed, recovery questions are changed, no friends left but the person who stole the account bought members and has been playing on the account like business is usual.

2 months ago when I first came back( from a year break) the account history showed members that I didn't purchase, and the friends I had all thought I was a woman, which isn't true.

I think someone in the past has stolen my account, bought members when I was on break. And now is using the account because they think it's innactive. Plus now they have a credit card authorization to play.

How do I tell jagex this?

I am confused.

Your account name has been changed, your recovery questions have been changed, you are under the impression that someone else is still actively using your account... yet you yourself are still able to log into it and play?

At any rate, I suggest you run any appropriate virus/spyware scans that you have on your computer. After that, change your RuneScape password, reset all of your recovery questions and, if you are able to log into RuneScape, set/change your bank PIN as well.

If you are unable to log into your account, submit an Account Recovery report as you normally would:

  1. Visit the RuneScape homepage at http://runescape.com/
  2. Click "Account" near the top of the page.
  3. Click "Recover Now" under Recover Password near the bottom of the page.
  4. Fill out the necessary information and Submit your report.

Please note, Jagex may lock your account while the report is being investigated, and you will be unable to log in until they're finished - but if it's any consolation, the person who stole your account won't be able to log in, either.

Best of luck.
