Firefox password file?

So here's the story.

Yesterday my brother was on my computer and managed to delete all my firefox passwords. This was hundreds of little passwords that I was just about to export

I use a program called Recuva which will restore any deleted/modified files for me. I need to know exactly where firefox stores its passwords. (I already know it saves to %appdata% for the entire profile)

If you're hoping to find a file with a list of your passwords, I think you're out of luck. I took a look at everything Firefox stores and it looks like it's pretty much all encrypted.

Well I also have a backed up copy of my profile in appdata so I just need to know which file to overwrite.

I found that^, I'm at at home at the moment though so I can't really test it to see if it works.

You could also try deleting all your saved passwords currently, taking note of all the files in app_data, then saving a password and comparing the files(this would only work if firefox creates the file when it detects the first saved password, not if they already had an empty file as a placeholder).
