When in the quest do you need level 70 construction, and can I use my crystal saw for the boost or will I have to stew it? I'm only 1 level away, I just don't wast to waste what little cash I have.

It's used when making the Forge, I think, but no boosts are allowed for Construction, whatsoever.

 

My advice for you is to get a SC Hammer - I changed a cost of 2M for Oak Planks into about 750K cost with 3 SC hammers to get to 70 Con from 67 (with Oak Larders).

 

Try Fast SC (if I remember that correctly) on W99. It's a quick way to get SC Points without combat.

Also, one level can't be that expensive to get. For you, with sc hammers, you'd need to make 65 oak larders, requiring 520 oak planks, which is under 350k. Bit of a bad time to train it though seeing oak planks have basically doubled in price lately.

I got (halfway through) 67-70 with 2 and 3/4's of a hammer, so I'm guessing you'd only need the one, but a secondary hammer doesn't hurt anyone. That's about 2 games in Fast SC.
