local area connection-A network cable is unplugged

Im not a computer expert, so when you explain try to make it simple to understand, thanks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recently this bubble keeps coming up that says this, I know enough to realise this cable is not unplugged, i don't know if they are crossed over or w/e but can somebody who knows what to do help me out. Thanks in advance :)

Is it a temporary problem? In other words, is your connection ok sometimes and not others? If, so it's probably a problem with your internet service provider. If it's a constant problem it's probably something is disconnected either cabling or software drivers.

The connection between your network adapter and your cable modem and/or router is losing "signal"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are a number of things that could be the cause :

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1: a bad driver install for your network adapter - try installing the latest drivers from the manufacturers website

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2: a bad cable - check the CAT5 cable between your network adapter and modem/router for any signs of wear or damage to the insulation, replace if necessary

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3: modem/router on its way out , the most unlikely of the 3 but if its old , you never can tell , electronics dont live forever ;), contact ISP and/or manufacturer for a warranty repair/replacement
