Mysterious Portal Leaked?

Featured Replies

Like others said, if Jagex uses this portal idea in heavily bot populated places, it will really take a tole on the bots, hopefully getting rid of most of them.

One can only hope...

We, or rather Jagex, might have found a serious weakness in bots, and it can be exploited a lot. Bots can't handle changes where they're used to something permanent. I approve.

:wall:

Do you honestly think this is some kind of tremendous breakthrough? Everyone already knew this. Bots are programmed to perform specific functions based on a constant environment, if the environments changes obviously they will have problems.

The portal have now been removed. But quick programmers made so the bots searched for a portal, so now they are stuck in the same scenario except they are looking for portal now instead of rope.

It's pretty hillarious.

It sounds like jagex should change the entrances to heavily botted areas occasionally just to pwn bots.

That would be pretty epic.

That it would. Keep in mind, any permanent change is something the bots would adapt too.

im pretty sure he means as a random event it will require the portal to enter then it reverts back to rope. Now that would pwn bots pretty hard

even if it does little to bots them self, it will make it easy to tell if someone is a bot!

wouldent it be funny to have every botted place change to a random set of slightly difrent setups every day.

as long as the setups change often enough and are random enough as to avoid bots being made that can find there way anyway.

jagex could even go as far as to move the entire place to somewhere else (like how the circus moves around)

I'm a Brony and proud of it!
