How to install printer

Featured Replies

No idea how to do anything. I got disc and printer and cords. It automatically installs but doesn't actually work.

Tell me what to do please, thanks.

General reading the instruction book is a good start...

But aside from that most printers and devices you put the disc in to install the drivers BEFORE you connect it and then part way through it tells you to connect it. Otherwise windows will grab its own drivers for it that don't necessarily work.

If you disconnect it again and put the disc in and reconnect it when that is completed/when your told to by the installer it should work fine; that is of course unless you hjave made the ultimate fail and bought a printer thats too new/old and is therefore incompatible with your OS

Assuming this is Windows... you didn't say...

Lexmark drivers are particularly noxious - they monitor your ink/toner levels and give you warnings when the consumables are low.
