well beaches are perticualy hard because they look like one colour

Have you ever seen a beach?

At a glance yes they r just a sand yellow, but take a moment to consider them

they are made of thousands of grains of slightly differently toned grains, plus they have some black grains

So best way to pixel it: get a mid tone to put u base on then cover it with random pixels of like 3 darker and 3 lighter tones, then finish it off with a few black pixels

Should give you a nice sand effect.

spent around 1min in paint doing a speed version of what I just descirbe and look:

Not the best cause of how fast I did it, but u can see the effect

Bruh, have you ever seen a beach?... the grains are ALL clear, but the dirt underneath them, and the dun meke them seem certain colors (much like a polar bear).... so the nearer the sun the brighter the farther the drker, and sand is well sand, so the grains of different tones will be all over like said so first do basic shading then put random shades (not too dark, and not too bright) ino the sand

thanks everyone for the sigs!

Well duh, I was just giving instructions on how to get the desired texture. Of course it is shaded as a normal pixel is.

I mean all textures can be explained in tht way, but then when applied are shaded properly
