November 29, 201015 yr I'm looking for a surround sound-ish/speaker setup for my room. I want to my have TV (cable, Xbox 360) running into it as well as my PC so that I can listen to music with it. However, I don't know anything about getting speaker systems other than just 2 regular speakers for a computer. What would you guys recommend?
December 4, 201015 yr Author Sorry for the bump, but are you kidding me? C'mon guys! An entire week with no replies? Christmas is coming soon, help a TIF'er out here ._.
December 4, 201015 yr I'm not an expert and never owned surround sound. I expect it would be useless in my little room. Dayum after looking at some prices they are crazy high. Here's a cheap one i found that I expect to be a really crappy low spectrum choice..http://www.walmart.com/ip/Logitech-Z506-5.1-Channel-Surround-Sound-Speaker-System/15105369 I expect if you want something nice your budget would be between 250-500. Edit: I just realized the reason those are so cheap is because they're only for a computer. I'm sure you'll need to invest quite a bit of money if you want to hook everything up at once. A receiver would do that job I believe.
December 6, 201015 yr I am not sure how much you are will to spend so maybe come up with a budget for the system. As for advice, i suggest you get a good reciver with it. Make sure you have plenty of inputs for your tv, xbox, and pc. Buying online may be a good idea because you can read plenty of reviews, probably get free shipping, and maybe get a holiday deal. Try looking around newegg.com or amazon. Usually pretty accurate reviews, good ratings, and great prices.
December 6, 201015 yr Author $100 minimum budget... let's go with that? My room is very small... 10ft x 9ft... so I doubt I need that much... like I said, I don't know anything about sound systems :P I just want a nice one.
