  1. The Big City article really summed up the past year or so for me in runescape. I assumed it was me just getting older and growing away from the game. Maybe it's just the feeling of nostalgia setting in, but most of my runescape experiences were filled with fond memories of long conversations with random strangers. At least I am not the only one feeling lonely in runescape.
  2. Usually large gold buyers buy bulk gold for a lower fixed price, and then sell at a higher price in small quantities. For example a large gold buyer/seller will purchase lets say 8 bil a day from you for $0.40 a mil and turn around and sell it for $0.50 a mil to random buyers in sizes of 5 mil, 10mil, 50mil, 100mil ect.
  3. Yeah this was after the other one was leaked, everything was patched, and he was banned. Not all their files were banned, or their wealth taken away, as seen by the second video....Grrr. Didn't know all of his weren't banned, which is surprising. But I am sure he was aware what posting his accounts meant. Sure there are idiots who post their accounts/methods and get themselves caught but of all people I don't think he is one.

  5. Unless he has lots of mules that are storing multiple stacks of gold which seems quite common when you are talking about a player with that amount of wealth.
  6. If you think for a bit : Max cash pile is 2.1 Bil, the dupe is about RSGP not rares. Usually stakers hoard rares, if he would've dumped 300B worth of rares on the market, Rares would've crashed not Risen... So no this is no staker. He said host not staker. Host as in gambling.
  7. That's not what I am talking about. I don't care what they spend their money on. I was agreeing it's very expensive. I don't like the idea that people are already buying it for these prices only encouraging jagex with this. That's what I find sad, the expensive prices being reinforced with people already buying. If the guy wants to spend $30 or $50 on an outfit that's fine. But damn I think it could use some adjustment. At no point was I judging the guy.
  8. Sad part is people are buying them. Someone bought the assassin already
  9. Now take that number and cut it in half to account for people just standing around. Now maybe we have an accurate number of people testing beta. If I could give you my beta access I would. Funny looking at my friendslist and all the ones who tested beta on day one compared to now. I used to have about 10 or so friends who got in beta. I haven't seen one test it since Wednesday. I'm sorry, but this is really annoying me. They're denying access to a lot of people who want to test the content, but they're allowing access to people who gamble on a beta server where all your items will just be deleted at the end? What the hell is going on in Jagex's mind? If you look at my previous posts they are dealing with it the next update. And I understand. Trying to find someone to actually do something with in beta without already knowing them is annoying when half of them are begging for partyhats the other half are gambling. And if it means anything. Those people wanted to test combat too. They did, until they got bored, and started to gamble. I will be honest, I want to run around and try to make fake billions too. Trust me, it gets boring REALLY fast when you are gaining nothing. There is a reason people get paid to do this. I hope they will deny access to those that gamble on the beta servers and instead, invite more players in to test their content. I have a feeling they will have some shop with more free items (maybe money and rares). Although that's purely speculation on my part. I think that would be the easier way to deal with the situation rather than running around blacklisting names you see gambling.

  11. Exactly, when one thing this made me realize is how much work runescape is. Novelty doesn't get a player very far. Anything after that is truly work. I work enough, i don't need to do it in my games. At least in real rs i can justify it by non existent items and achievements, fun social interactions and conversations. The beta testing is literally getting me nowhere. I am not getting paid to do it, I get no rs experience, items, achievements, and to top it all off its' not fun after a short period of time.

  13. Yes, it matters. It's the combat system that we're going to be stuck with in a few months, and as mentioned previously, the people duping rares and gambling are taking spots that could have been filled by players that actually care. Really, the fact that there's a beta at all is a surprising step forward on Jagex's part, and the community seems intent on proving that it doesn't deserve to have chances like that. After testing beta for a few days/hours, it loses it's novelty and you get bored with it. It doesn't take long to test the bosses/monsters/equipment. You digested everything and you get pretty bored. I understand how you could be mad people are wasting a slot not testing combat. But in all honestly there isn't that much to do. And when I consider none of this matters, I lose all desire to after getting more than a few kills or any boss or monster. I have spent plenty of time in the duel arena and wildy screwing around, but that novelty doesn't last long. I think if jagex were to allow players to give up their spot, plenty would. Edit: In case people are wonder how many players are currently playing beta. This is a screen shot of current players online at 12 P.M. U.S. central time. 1625 people testing beta . So yeah don't be mad at the people trying to get partyhats, at least those people are online
  14. I suggest you give it another chance. Read each of the abilities, it won't take long to figure out you can use some in combination and most have a way to counter. Start off with basics, they recover quickly and can build up your adrenalin bar. Once you get half a bar use thresholds, they do quite a bit of damage. Continue building up your bar and finish with an ultimate. An example of what to do for range in a duel arena scenario. Start off the duel with a Binding shot. It binds your target for 20 seconds and stuns them for 3. Follow that up with a piercing show, which does 175% damage because they are stunned. Use escape, which will leap you backwards 7 meters and continue to build up your bar. Since the player is bound is still bound, you just put distance between you and your opponent and you are free to shoot them. After about 20 seconds they should be running towards you. Use fragmentation shot, this does more than 200% damage because they are running at you. Continue the fight, if you are low on health use rejuvenate to gain around 3k life points, if you are ok on health finish them off with another ultimate. The situation with people not testing combat is being addressed with the next update. Check one of my previous posts in this thread for the quick find code and quote if you want to read it. The whole with not getting full health is so you can't use your armor to just heal you. And i am sure there are smarter ways of address the health/armor issue. Beta came out a few days ago, we have months to go so don't stress
  15. Basically arcane just became a divine meant for mage users.
