what ranged weapon is usually the best when fighting TDs? w/o steel titan

Rune bolts with rune or chaotic crossbow are my personal favorite. Great damage, moderate speed, not too expensive. Not too hard to soulsplit flash with.

 

Another popular option is the handcannon, though I find it to be inferior to rune bolts. It's nice because it's slower, so easier to switch and soulsplit with, but it has the significant drawback of sometimes blowing up.

 

Karil's crossbow is also extremely good, but has the drawback of not working so well with soulsplit flashing because it's SO fast. It tears off melee protect like nothing because of its high speed though.

 

Those are the main ones I've seen there.
